And I'm pretty sure that the seahawks should have beaten tge Chargers, Chiefs, and Rams last season, and yet they somehow didn't. That's how sports is. That's why people love it.

So you're telling me, that there is no way in the world, that the Steelers would beat the Cowboys by more than 10 points? Not even on a good day? Hmmm
I don't think that that's how it works.
Anyways, as I told you, luck is a factor as well, so your team being better will get you better long-term results, but not necessary a win in every game.

Welcome to NCSA Sports News on this SUPER SPORTS SATURDAY!

We had a lot of action today on sports field across the NCSA.

We start today's broadcast with basketball.
For that we go to the Hilton Arena in Harald City for the match between the Diddyland Pilots and the West Phoenician Scorpions.
The Pilots' Gene Gomez lead the way to a 111-106 victory, scoring 26 points.
This leaves the standings as follows:
1 - Diddyland Pilots                       - 2 wins
2 - West Phoenician Scorpions(c) - 0
A tough start to the season for the current champions from West Phoenicia. They have some catching up to do.

From basketball we switch to football.

The Frijstaater Flames beat the Diddyland Blue Devils by 38 - 17 in front of their own crowd in the Metro Arena in Felsenburg.
Flames RB Benjamin Pfeiffer played the probably best match of his career, rushing for 130 yards and 3 touchdowns, and, as if that wasn't enough, also receiving for 93 yards and another touchdown. Absolutely amazing stuff!

In the Battlegrounds (Palmetto Airlines Stadium), the Charlotte Paratroopers lost their home game against the Fensite Sharks by 29-41.
Sharks QB Erick Hill had an outstanding match, probably also the best of his career, completing 25/31 throws for 390 yards and 5 touchdowns!

Finally, in the Gwinnett Sports Complex, the Coastal Crusaders lost yet another match. This time they lost against the West Phoenician War Dancers by 26 - 7.
The Crusaders are still waiting for the first victory in their franchise's history.
War Dancers QB James Emanon had a good game, completing 20 of his 26 throws for 287 yards, 1 touchdown, but also 1 interception.

So here are the NCSA football league standings:
1 - West Phoenician War Dancers - 2 wins
2 - Frijstaater Flames                     - 2
3 - Diddyland Blue Devils(c)          - 1
4 - Fensite Sharks                         - 1

Now we switch to baseball.

Patriot Field in Frystone, Columbia

The 2 points scored by the Rebels in the first inning proved to be enough to win the match.

So here are the standings for the NCSA baseball league:
1 - Columbia Rebels                       - 2 wins

6 - Frijstaater Flame                        - 0
The reigning champions from Diddyland, who had gone unbeaten last season, have yet to win a game this season.

And so, for a last time today, we switch sports. Now we go to hockey!

At the Metro Arena in Felsenburg, Frijstaat, the Frijstaater Hedgehogs lost to the West Phoenician Heatwaves by 2-3.
The Hedgehogs got the lead in the first period, and Peter Neumann extended that lead to a 2-0 in the second period after an assist from Jason Shuhmacher.
But the third period belonged to the Heatwaves, and short before the end of the match, Alan Cook was able to tie the match!
In the end, the Heatwaves won the match in overtime.

For the last match of this broadcast, we go to the Disney Arena in Othmarschen, Diddyland, where the Diddyland Freezers lost 2-3 against the Cream Pies.
After a scoreless first period, Ethan Knight assisted the Cream Pies' first goal of the game, but the freezers could also score a minute afterwards.
Taylor French gave the Freezers the lead in the third period after an assist from Dustin Boone but it was not enough. The Cream Pies tied the game, and then proceeded to win the match in overtime.

So, after those identical scores, here go the NCSA hockey standings:
1 - West Phoenician Heatwaves - 2 wins
2 - The Cream Pies(c)                - 1
3 - Frijstaater Hedgehogs            - 1
4 - The Diddyland Freezers         - 0

And that concludes this extra-long news show.

Today, at the Patriot Field in Frystone, Columbia, the Columbia Rebels beat the San Fran Runners by 6-5, incredibly turning around a 0-5 deficit in the last two innings.
Here's the box score for that game:
San Fran Runners - 0 2 1 0 0 0 2 0 0 - 5
Columbia Rebels   - 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 5 - 6
Now, all baseball teams have completed their first match.

Now we move to the last sport that has been waiting to start its season. Soccer!

At the Michael Bellandese Memorial Arena, the reigning champions, the Cream Stalwarts faced the Diddyland Dynamo.

In the 18th minute, Oliver Wagner went through midfield with the ball and lobbed it forward to Andres Willis. It looked like offside, but linesman Niko Zickert let the play continue. The young Diddyan was therefore free and gave Stalwarts goalie Vincent Piranelli no chance from 11 meters distance. Dynamo 1 - 0 Stalwarts

In the 26th minute Oliver Wagner slide tackled into a low cross-in from Myron Hawkins and shot the ball past Stalwarts goalie Vincent Piranelli into goal from the penalty spot. Dynamo 2 - 0 Stalwarts.

In the 54th minute, Dynamo midfielder Harvey Griffin lost the ball and complained about it, as he saw himself as the victim there. Apparently he complained too much, cause he was shown the yellow card for it.

So, in the first match of the season, the Dynamo is able to beat the current champions, the Cream Stalwarts, on the road. They couldn't have wished for a better start.

Also, at the Felsenburger Stadion, the Greenville Bombers visited the Frijstaater Wolves.

In the 71st minute, the energetic acceleration from the Bombers' striker was ended by the Wolves' defender slightly pulling his pants. Yellow card!

In the 89th minute, there was a freekick, taken by Dmitry Anisimov. After the actually quite harmless freekick, the Bombers can't clear the ball well. The Wolves' midfielder gets to the ball on the left side of the penalty box and shoots straight away. The weak shot slips through Bombers goalie Jordan Henry's hands. Bombers 0 - 1 Wolves.

So, in the last minute, the Wolves were able to decide this match in their favor. They'll be very pleased while, obviously, this is very disappointing for the Bombers.

Sure. But your teams would start participating next season (1st of the following month) The only competition that hasn't started yet this month is the soccer competition. It starts today, so if you're interested, hurry up :)
Oh, and due to low participation, I'd also squeeze you in to the basketball competition.

OOC: where you write "capitol", do you mean "capital"?
Cause that's 2 different things.

IC: Diddyland supports this bill. Nevertheless we want to make clear, that on these roads, the state's traffic laws should be respected, such as speed limits, or so. We, ourselves don't have many laws on highways, not even a speed limit, but still feel that the bill should include this to protect other states' laws. Otherwise this would be an overreach.
But if states' traffic laws are respected, we fully support this bill.

These were today's matches:

Adidas Arena, Belgrano, Diddyland
Fensiti Lions              - 1 0 8 0 0 0 5 0 1 - 15
The Diddyland Lions - 1 0 0 0 2 1 0 1 0 - 5
The reigning champions, the Diddyland Lions, were outclassed by the newcomers, the Fensiti Lions. This was the first ever defeat for Diddyland, and, obviously, the first ever victory for Fenson.

Liberty Field, New Amsterdam, Frijstaat
West Phoenician Confederates - 2 0 0 1 4 0 0 3 0 - 10
Frijstaater Flame                        - 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 - 1
Impressive performance from the Confederates. This was probably the best match in their franchise history.

From baseball we switch to the first match day of hockey:

At the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, the current champions, the Cream Pies, lost their opening match at home against the newly formed Frijstaater Hedgehogs by 2 - 3.
Xi Xu Wu scored the first goal of the game for the Libreated Cream after an assist from Peter North III. The Hedgehogs tied the match, still in the first period, and took the lead in the third. Nevertheless, the Libreated Cream was able to tie the match and get it into overtime.
In the end, the Hedgehogs were able to win the match, as mentioned, by 2 - 3.

In the Heatwave Arena in Jackson, West Phoenicia, the West Phoenician Heatwaves beat the Diddyland Freezers by 4 - 3.
After ending the first period with a 2 - 0 lead, Gregory Brain scored to extend the Heatwaves' lead to 3-0 in the 2nd period.
Then, shortly afterwards, Loren Scott assisted the Freezers' first goal of the season. Curiously, all of the remaining goals were scored in the second period. The third period was very tight and lived from the suspense, but, as mentioned, no goals were scored by either team
and so the match ended with a 4 - 3 victory for the Heatwaves.
